- Alec DruryDallas was outstanding. I met him through a friend and told him my situation. I am a young first-time home buyer who was struggling to get into the Victoria market. I was living in a terrible basement suite with a worse landlord and a November 1st deadline given my unique lease. Like many landlords, mine was hoping I would leave so he could increase rent.
Dallas was awesome. He was patient even after five showings proved fruitless. The final showing was what almost all agents struggle with, a For-Sale-By-Owner. The sellers were ruthless about lowering their price even though this was their second attempt at listing their home. I asked Dallas to be aggressive and he surpassed my expectations. I asked him to counter offer and he countered. He was a shrewd negotiator and after the fourth counter-offer he delivered. I obtained a beautiful 2676 sq ft home, with a suite, for a great price. We negotiated me being able to move into the suite a month before the December 1st closing, and even that all remediations (mold in attic, carpet cleaning, etc.) be completed in advance.
Dallas King's previous experience in trades is also invaluable. There was 454 sq ft of unfinished space that was already framed and wired and Dallas ballparked what it would cost to finish the space. He was within 10% of the final figure. He suggested quality tradespeople that he knew personally so I did not have to go through the dreadful process of trying to find reliable trades. All of them were terrific. Dallas King goes beyond the close and I strongly recommend him for anyone looking for their first home or purchasing a property with the intention to renovate. I rest easy knowing I have a reliable realtor on my side.
